Artists, activists, musicians, writers, architects, politicians, chefs, and people defying description all grace the stage at PechaKucha Night which brings prominent and emerging creative minds together for an evening of lightning-fast presentations, networking and fun. The PechaKucha format, where a dozen or so presenters are given 20 slides each shown for 20 seconds to reveal their passions, work and inspirations, is now held in over 430 cities around the world. Chicago events are among the most popular, with over 300 people in attendance at each event. It's an amazing, riotous and amusing evening.

The five songs share a common theme of longing, whether that be for a person, a feeling, or for the past. Honest, full of heart, with confessional lyrics, Cash leaves us feeling good and wanting more.​Cash's anticipated EP Blush will be released on August 2nd. Blending the folksy charm of Midwestern roots music with the rollicking sensibilities of classic honky tonk, Tommy Goodroad’s unique brand of country rock & roll shines on his new EP, “Tommy Goodroad and The Highway Birds.” Named for his solid backing band, the EP was recorded in Goodroad’s home state of Minnesota, as well as Chicago, where he is now based. Rachel SwainSoulful Americana with a heart as big as texas and a bite as cold as the chicago windWith musical influences spanning country, bluegrass, Americana, soul, and rock, Swain's music is honest, soulful, and steeped in her Texas roots. Listeners will notice nods to new and classic country in her eclectic and nuanced music.Over the past 20 years, Rachel Swain has been performing as a vocalist, guitarist, and rarely as a bassist in projects ranging from indie rock, country, French pop, surf, garage rock, punk, and tribute projects. She has worked as a session vocalist and loves collaborating with fellow artists.As a songwriter, her work is featured in the bands Roxy Swain, The Swains, and Working Mother. Her music is full of strong melodies, honest and personal lyrics, and rich harmonies. She is currently working on several recording projects upcoming in the summer and fall of 2024.

In 2009, Miles Arntzen started EMEFE with one purpose: to create an unparalleled live experience around his original music. Three weeks later, they played their first show to a ravenously packed house in New York City. Four years later, they had played countless venues across the country, opened for Passion Pit and Big Boi, and released studio albums that documented their live sound. In 2013, the band challenged themselves to create a studio record that surpassed their reputation as merely a great live act. Holing away for 2 years, they used the studio, not the stage, as their instrument to both capture the music's energy and explore its depth. They now present the world with EMEFE, a concept album debuting the band's fearless funk-pop music in an unparalleled listening experience.EMEFE is about breaking through static, the undefinable noise and clutter of everyday life. The album’s concepts were inspired by French author Jacques Lusseyran’s And There Was Light, chronicling a blind man’s realization of light and love in his time during the French resistance movement. After years of creating an original and fearless pop style showcased through their live performances, their signature style is finally exhibited on their new record. EMEFE’s beats are a cross between Fela Kuti and Prince, with vocals reminiscent of the Talking Heads’ candor and the Beach Boys’ lushness... all with a unique pop sensibility. Coming to terms with frustration, anxiety and fear, the album pits complacency against change. Terrapin Flyer formed in the fall of 1999 and has since become a fixture of the national music scene, playing regularly at venues around the country and appearing at music festivals. The band has a dedicated following among fans of the Grateful Dead and other jam bands, and is known for their authentic renditions of Dead songs. Over the years, Terrapin Flyer has toured with many notable musicians, including Melvin Seals from the Jerry Garcia Band, Vince Welnick, Tom Constanten from the Grateful Dead and many other Dead-related musicians.
